Why is there sunflower on the stamp?

The steppe climate and fertile soil make the area ideal for massive sunflower fields, which dominate the summer landscape. Dnipro is a hub for processing sunflower seeds into oil, with factories that supply both the domestic market and export. Generally, Ukraine is the world's leading exporter of sunflower oil, accounting for 47% of global exports, and Dnipro plays a major role in that supply chain. Endless sunflower fields (“golden sea”) around the city have become a symbol of central Ukraine’s beauty and abundance.
